We will be starting the 2026 Match Play on July 6th.  We have 32 participants separated into two divisions based on handicaps.  Handicaps used are a month out of date but scheduling issues and talks with River Oaks were prioritized and prevented me from rebuilding everything.  The seeding and handicaps were done in early June. Players are ranked in each division based upon their handicap with lower handicappers playing higher handicappers as the tournament progresses.  Division B players WILL ALL PLAY FROM THE RED TEES......same as last year.  Please apply handicaps based on the Men's HDCP line of the scorecard.

 

Senior League modified rules are in effect for match play in order to maintain consistency and time of play. 

 

Games ending in ties after 18 holes will be determined by retrogression outlined as follows:

 

The Winner of holes 10-18....if tied

The Winner of holes 13-18....if tied

The Winner of holes 16-18....if tied

The Winner of hole 18....if tied

The pairing will be rescheduled with the first player to win a hole being declared the winner.  This is a variant to past retrogression calculations but is used elsewhere and is easier foe everyone to calculate.

 

PLEASE IDENTIFY MATCH PLAY ON THE SCORECARD AND IDENTIFY THE WINNER.  ALL MATCH PLAY CARDS CAN BE DROPPED IN THE RANG BOX IN THE MEN'S WASHROOM.

 

Divisional Play will continue until their is a divisional winner.  The winners of A and B division will then play to determine the overall 2026 winner.

 

Please make every effort to play your matches.  We are starting late this year and have consistently had trouble finishing all Matches by our year end in September.  Feel free to play your matches outside of regular Senior tee time blocks if necessary or desired.
